"Time-AUT" sailing with friends

1 x all-round in stages with sailing opportunities

We started with 2 seasons in the Mediterranean and in 2023 we will sail around the world along the "barefoot route".

(Mediterranean Sea - Canary Islands - Caribbean - Galapagos - South Pacific - Indian Ocean - Cape of Good Hope - Cape Verde - Mediterranean Sea)

2021 / 2022: starting point Marina di Scarlino / Tuscany; 2021 round trip Elba, Corsica, Sardinia; 2022 from Olbia/ Sardinia once around Sardinia and various islands in the Tyrrhenian Sea; 2023 via southern France, Balearic Islands, Gibraltar, Madeira and the Canary Islands to the Caribbean, Galapagos, Marquesas, South Pacific and via the Cape of Good Hope back to the Mediterranean

From the boy's idea to the preparation and implementation

Dear sailing enthusiasts,

Ever since I started sailing more than 50 years ago, I knew that one day I would sail around the world.

After my retirement, this "once" came. I bought a Beneteau Oceanis 523 in Italy in 2020 and started preparing it for the big voyage. Now it has almost become a new ship in terms of safety, comfort and elegance - paired with the charm of a classic shipbuilding with lots of wood in the interior and a teak deck for even more comfort. A generator, a desalination plant, solar power for 700 watts, a Bauer diving compressor and much more ensure extensive, autonomous long-distance travel suitability.

After two years of preparation and various readjustments, the start will be in spring 2023 from Olbia / Sardinia along the coasts of southern France and Spain, via Gibraltar and Madeira to the Canary Islands. There we want to set off with the ARC towards the Caribbean in November.

For the beginning I will be alone on the ship and will always have guests and sailing enthusiasts with me for the transfers. When it comes to taking friends, family and other guests with you, the ship offers comfortable space for an additional four people. Each double cabin is equipped with its own toilet and shower and offers plenty of space for two. The double bed has a shoulder width of 1.70 m!

A little about me: I've just turned 64, in good physical shape, love good food, like music and culture, like to talk to interesting people, pass on my knowledge or just hang out and enjoy the quiet time .

For the fellow sailors, perfect sailing knowledge and skills is not the most important thing (even if it is fine if there is already some of it). Above all, I want to have a good time, live without drama, be able to plan and travel from day to day, get to know new people and cultures, be able to make a useful contribution somewhere and experience a lot more.

If you want to know more about the circumnavigation project with friends and me, please get in touch. There is still a lot to tell!
